Normally I would have a huge blog post to accompany this. But…well, the video pretty much speaks for itself this time around. I don’t like Smash Brothers. I don’t mind if people DO like it :D. I just don’t get it.
We have the latest thoughts on Twin Peaks! Here’s hoping we get to watch Episode 3 soon!
It’s a new Whitless Letter! And I have to say, I am pleased with my efforts and am ever impressed with the skills of the Video Ninja.
I do love the Walking Dead series. I really do. It’s a riveting and brutal story with some of the best writing I’ve seen in a video game. But I would be remiss if I didn’t bring up the rising death toll.
From what I’ve been told, this is a pretty common thing for the Walking Dead whether it be the video game, the tv series or the comic. And it makes sense in a survival story. But MAN between this and the Last of Us my soul has been put through the figurative wringer.
I suppose it’s a plus that there are characters in this game that are likeable enough that I’m actually sorry that they die. But I really and truly am worried for the fate of my dear Clementine. She is one of the most awesome child characters out there and I hope to all the powers that be that Telltale gives her SOME sort of happy ending. It could even be a melancholy ending with a tinge of happiness! But she deserves SOMETHING after what she’s been put through these games. something? Anything?
…I need to play some Stanley Parable to learn to laugh again…
And I would say more, but I’m off to a cottage! Train time!
Look! It’s an exciting announcement! You can tell I made this when I was tired because my left eye always droops when I’m too tired.
But yes! I will be going to ConBravo in just a few days!
Aaaand, holy crap it’s nervewracking.
There are a ton of cool guests and events. It’s a little daunting to share the floor with them. But at the same time, it’s going to be three days of nerding out with my friends and peers at one of my favourite conventions. I am so pumped.
If you happen to be in Hamilton this weekend, I would highly suggest coming out. Here’s my schedule for those that don’t want to get it from a rambling video:
- Friday, 6:30pm: Letters to Video Game Characters (Live Whitless Letters)
- Saturday, 4pm: Storytelling in New Mediums (Video Games, Webseries, etc.) with Clan of the Greywolf, Normal Boots and Derek the Bard
- Saturday, 10:30pm: Audition for the Worst Movie Ever with Tom White
- Sunday, 4pm: Gender Roles in Video Games with 3killabytes
Errol will also have panels!
- Saturday, 2:30pm: Crowdfunding for Indie Artists
- Saturday, 6:30pm: Super Audio World II Concert
- Sunday, 11:30am: Nerd Music
It’s going to be lots of fun! Come out and geek out with us! Hope to see you there!
Update post! Filming for Sidekicks has begun! It is really weird to think that after a year and a half of writing and preparing that we’re actually recording it to screen.
In many ways, it’s a similar experience to NaNoMusical. We’re pretty much a rag tag operation who works on it during our precious free time on the weekends. We depend on borrowed equipment and kind volunteers to keep us going and our wallets relatively full. Errol never stays on script.
But in so many other ways, it’s vastly different from NaNoMusical. Read the rest of this entry
My webseries Sidekicks is happening! I’ve decided to dedicate some blog posts chronicling the filming process. I have another, far more fun post after this one :D. But this one needed to get off my chest:
This weekend we finally begin filming for Sidekicks, a webseries that I began to work on a year and a half ago after NaNoMusical ended.
I am somewhat terrified at the prospect. Read the rest of this entry
Hallo Bloggosphere! I need your help! First, here is a video! And below that is an explanation of the video!
So as I’ve said in previous blog posts, I’ve been pretty busy lately. One of the reasons for the busy times is that I’ve been working on a new webseries with Errol for WeTangent. Read the rest of this entry
It’s time for a new Whitless Letter! This time to Luigi!
I don’t know about you guys, but as a kid, I ALWAYS opted to play as Luigi. He was simply the better brother in my mind.
Special thanks to Tom White for stepping in and appearing in the vid. He reviews weird video games!
And my trusty Video Ninja really outdid himself this time around. You should check out his site, he is becoming an editing master!
